I have been a movie buff and will always be. Most of the time I watch movies for entertainment as everybody does. But that changed few years ago. As I become aware of the intricacies of it, i began to look deeper and find the very message of the movie.
Chronicles of Narnia has been widely known for its subliminal Christian message. Critics are at the peak of ostracizing the movie of it’s real agenda to the viewers. Regardless of the criticisms I continually look for kingdom message in the screenplay. And I was not disappointed at Narnia 3: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Lucy finds herself lured at vanity. She was looking at the mirror and Aslan appeared. He said “Don’t doubt your value”; “You can’t runaway from who you are”.
I was blown away by these lines from Aslan. These are kingdom principles obviously and it got me! Many times I fail in thinking that I will just do things on my way even if it cost me my identity. But God values me as I am and I should think and act that way. I am a daughter of the King and I will always be. As I was thinking about my future I kept on contemplating what am I going to be. But God said what you are now determines who will you be tomorrow. For now, I know I am a daughter of a mighty roaring lion-Aslan —- Jesus Christ. And I won’t and can’t runaway from that fact.
